Solent Rescue
Solent Rescue is an independent lifeboat organisation based at Lepe Country Park, in Hampshire.
The rescue organisation was established in 1971, initially as a beach rescue unit but has since developed into a rescue unit with both inshore and offshore rescue capabilities.
We operate at weekends from Easter until September, during Bank holidays and seven days during the festival of Cowes Week.
As part of a wider framework of independent and RNLI-operated lifeboats on the South Coast, Solent Rescue helps to monitor approximately 33 square miles of the central and western Solent.
We currently provide first aid cover for all the Country Park and have an Arctic 24 and D-Class lifeboats.
We are always looking for volunteers to man the lifeboats, operate our launch and recovery vehicles, landside cover and first aid. All training provided.
