Support and advice

Through the New Forest Land Advice Service (NFLAS), we help to support commoners with land management advice, financial guidance and training courses.

Training is mostly provided through the Our Past, Our Future landscape partnership scheme. This Heritage Lottery Fund scheme gives commoners and landowners access to subsidised training courses on rural skills.

NFLAS also supports commoners in applying for financial support and with advice on managing their land, full details here.

'The ponies and other animals have no road sense and walk on the unfenced roads, so give them a wide berth and be especially careful at night.'
