Over the years, the National Park Authority has supported a variety of art projects and festivals across the Forest. Scroll through the gallery below to see a selection.
2021: Artist Simon Ryder created the New Forest Imaginarium - an immersive, digital diorama capturing people's memories and stories of the National Park. At spudWORKS, the exhibition encouraged people to experience the Imaginarium through augmented reality. Residents and visitors are still encouraged to add their stories via the spudWORKS website.

2019: New Forest Heritage Centre partnered with Forest Forge Theatre to create a community archives project. Using photos from members of the local community, playwright David Lane produced ‘playlets’ based on the history of these images. The performances were accompanied by an exhibition and short film.

2019: Coda Music Trust established a new Folk Orchestra for the New Forest. The project explored the traditional and contemporary folk scene in and around the New Forest, bringing insights into the culture and identity of the area. The trust ran a variety of workshops, culminating in a performance and day of activities at Forest Arts in New Milton.

2019: 'In the Eyes of the Animal' was exhibited at the New Forest Show. This virtual reality headset allowed participants to experience the world through the senses of a woodland creature.
2016-20: National Park Authority hosted the New Forest Arts Festival. The festival ran for four years as part of the Our Past Our Future scheme. It brought together a range of engaging workshops, performances, screenings and exhibitions, connecting people with the landscape and with others. Pictured is the Minstead Trust drumming group.
