Submit tree work application

To carry out work on trees protected by a tree preservation order (TPO) or within a conservation area you need to submit a tree work application.

You can find out which trees fall within these categories by using our interactive tree map.

The best way to submit a tree work application is online using the national Planning Portal.

Your completed application form will be sent directly to our tree team.

You can also download a tree work application form and submit it by:

  • Filling it out on your computer, electronically signing and emailing to
  • Printing the form, filling it out by hand and posting it to Tree Team, New Forest National Park Authority, Lymington Town Hall, Avenue Road, Lymington, SO41 9ZG

It is important that you read the accompanying guidance on tree work and help text before making your application as without the correct information your application cannot proceed.
