Become a New Forest Ambassador
Many people enjoy living in or close to the New Forest National Park and many more visit regularly from further afield. The area’s rich culture and history, open heathland, woods, beautiful coast and special wildlife are much-loved by us all – so much so that many are keen to help in practical ways.
Here we’ve started a list of things people can do and would like to thank the hundreds of people who already help out, including picking up litter, monitoring issues or sharing the New Forest Code.
The New Forest Ambassador Scheme was created by us in partnership with local parish councils and New Forest District Council.
What you can do
Litter picking – we are no longer handing out litter-picking kits. Please see here for alternatives.
Report a problem – we’ve provided improved instructions so that the right organisations are informed.
Welcome responsible Forest users – we have provided downloadable and printed resources including the New Forest Code so that parish councils, local businesses, visitor attractions and accommodation providers can help share relevant messages.
Join the Look Wild project and help record wildlife sightings.
Thank you for helping us protect the beautiful New Forest.
