Welcoming visitors
Welcoming visitors back to the Forest safely
We want to ensure the local economy recovers from the impact of Covid-19, while keeping people safe and protecting the things that make the New Forest so special.
Many New Forest businesses and livelihoods depend on tourism and the visitor economy so it’s important to welcome new and returning visitors. We’re asking Parish Councils, local businesses, visitor attractions, accommodation providers and local people to help.
Here’s how:
- Share the New Forest Code. This summarises the most important things everyone needs to know when visiting the New Forest. It’s available to download here. We’re also supplying printed flyers at the litter picking kit collection points.
- Encourage people to travel without their car if possible: by walking, cycling, using the New Forest Tour, and by travelling on buses and trains.
- Buy produce from the New Forest Marque, to support local businesses and services.
Thank you for helping to keep the New Forest a safe place to visit
