Pondhead Conservation Trust is a multi-award-winning conservation charity.
We are restoring a unique area of woodland in the heart of the New Forest in order to improve its biodiversity and public enjoyment.
Volunteering events are held throughout the year and include ride (track) management, coppicing and charcoal making.
Our volunteers enjoy fresh air, exercise and good company with like-minded people. No previous experience is necessary, we supply all tools and you'll learn about woodland management plus much more.
We are the proud recipients of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (the MBE for voluntary groups).

We are an award-winning conservation charity, which is restoring 200 acres of New Forest woodland, to improve its biodiversity and enhance its public enjoyment. Our community woodland project is run entirely by volunteers who benefit from plenty of fresh air, exercise and friendly company. While volunteering they learn about the Forest, its biodiversity and conservation.
Our woodland is managed on a fully sustainable basis by using the timber we cut to produce charcoal that is sold locally. We are recent winners of the CPRE Hampshire countryside Award (Community & Volunteering) and were voted UK National Parks Volunteer Project of the Year.
