New Forest Butterfly Transect Group

Do you enjoy walking and watching wildlife? The New Forest Butterfly Transect Group is looking for volunteers to record butterfly numbers and species in and around the New Forest. You will join a team of four to six people to cover a transect route (around 2km) every week from April 1 to the end of September. A transect is a walk around a fixed route under specified weather and time conditions. Our group is associated with Butterfly Conservation and all our data is reported to UKBMS.

If you are interested in butterflies and would like to volunteer with us or would like more information, please email us at nftg-inbox@googlegroups.com.
