Over half the New Forest National Park is recognised as being internationally important for nature. It’s a world capital for wildlife with many rare species.
This extraordinary landscape is under threat from climate change with rising temperatures, wildfires, pests, diseases, drier soils and wetlands, and more powerful and frequent storms.
We can all help to protect the planet and the New Forest. Taking a few steps, no matter how small, can all add up to making a positive impact on our fragile New Forest environment.
Sign up to our New Forest Climate and Nature Challenge pledge and commit to at least four of the seven actions by ticking the boxes below.

This is a promise from you, not a legal contract and your signature will not be stored or used by the New Forest National Park Authority.
If you choose to submit your postcode with your pledge, it will be used to analyse whether pledges are being made by National Park residents or further afield, where residents are more engaged with the climate and nature challenge and whether there are variations in the types of pledges made. Where consent is given, we may publish the information anonymously on a map.
The lawful basis for our use of this information under the GDPR is Article 6(1)(a) where the data subject has given consent to the processing of their postcode for this purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting communications@newforestnpa.gov.uk. Your information will be held securely and will only be used in relation to the Climate and Nature Challenge Pledge. More details on how we hold personal information and your rights is at: www.newforestnpa.gov.uk/privacyandcookies or by contacting our Information & Data Protection Officer: dpo@newforestnpa.gov.uk.
