Reducing our organisation’s carbon footprint

Sustainability is at the heart of the National Park Authority

We aren’t perfect and we know there is always more we can do. Here are some of our sustainability initiatives to reduce our organisation’s carbon footprint:

  • We recycle additional items that aren’t normally collected, many of which support charitable causes as well as reducing our waste
  • We use electric vehicles and provide electrical vehicle charging points for our staff
  • Cycle parking, showers and bike loans are available so staff can commute to work car-free
  • We only use New Forest Marque local produce catering for our events – reducing food miles and supporting local businesses
  • All our cleaning products are eco-friendly and the paper we use is either recycled or from sustainable sources
  • We raise staff awareness and promote sustainability through Ride to Work Week, swap shops, talks and campaigns.
