Planning Officer
We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated planning professional to join our development management team where you can expect to deal with a wide range of planning applications, appeals and related enquiries, supported by an up-to-date Local Plan.
The New Forest National Park has an outstanding and diverse environment. Scattered settlements, villages and vibrant towns sit in an area of internationally renowned landscape with its unique blend of woodland, lowland heath and coastline. The area has a fantastically rich built heritage including 17 Conservation Areas and some 650 Listed Buildings.
Ideally you will already have some experience of working in a planning team with excellent communication and negotiation skills. If so, and you have a degree (or equivalent) in planning and membership of, or are currently working towards full membership of, the Royal Town Planning Institute, then we would love to hear from you.
Alternatively, you may be considering a career change or are just about to embark on your planning career after graduating this summer – again please do get in touch as we can offer excellent on the job training.
Role details:
- Permanent position
- Full-time at 37 hours per week (part-time/reduced hours considered)
- Appointment within the above salary range will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Chartered town planners with relevant experience can expect to be appointed towards the top of the scale
- Requires a valid driving licence
- Based at our offices in Lymington, with some home working
