Greener Brockenhurst
Greener Brockenhurst is a grassroots community environmental action group bringing together enthusiastic residents who share a common interest in caring for the environment and the planet.
What do we do?
- Raise awareness of environmental issues and inspire our community to adopt a greener lifestyle
- Promote renewable and community energy projects that reduce CO2 emissions
- Encourage ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ in our local community
- Support biodiversity, plant trees and help nature recover
- Provide practical information, share ideas and support initiatives for a sustainable future
What types of activities do we hold for the public?
- We hold Regular Repair Cafés
- We run a recycling shed
- We operate a Nappy Library serving the whole of the New Forest
- We have a team of people promoting “Make Space for Nature” in our village
- We offer advice on reducing home energy
- We promote Plastic Free Brockenhurst
- We hold regular events such as film screenings, community litter picks, nature surveys etc
