Dan Poole
Dan was raised and has worked in the New Forest all his life. For 15 years, he worked in the hospitality sector and appreciates the benefits and challenges in this area. He presently works for one of the New Forest’s MPs which he finds interesting and rewarding, but also gives him a broad understanding of the New Forest as a whole.
Dan has been a councillor since 2015, serving on Parish Councils and has just returned to New Forest District Council, where he has taken on the portfolio of Communities, Safety and Wellbeing. He has also served as a trustee of local charities and is currently fundraising press officer for RNLI Calshot, a trustee of the Dibden Allotments Fund and secretary to the Hythe traders’ association. He has also been a school governor.
Dan particularly enjoys daily forest walks – accompanied with Labrador, George – experiencing all this very special place we live in has to offer.
