The cottage’s smallest elevation faces toward the road, so it looks very modest.
Long and narrow, the simple roofline and small scale openings define its low key character.
The greyish tone of the water-reed combines with a lime render – both which will weather and help the building to recede into its setting.
The internal layout and interconnecting spaces are kept, whilst the chimney and internal framing are left exposed.
