Nominate an asset for the local list
We’re celebrating the built assets which make a positive contribution to the character of the New Forest, its communities and local heritage.
You can nominate a heritage asset within the New Forest National Park to be added to the Local List by filling in the simple form below.
An asset can be a building, archaeological site, monument, landscape, streetscape (post-box, streetlight, signage etc.) or public work of art that adds character to its location. Please add as much information as possible to help the panel review your nomination.
Once submitted, your nomination will be reviewed by the Building Conservation Officer. Provided it meets at least one of the criteria listed in the form, it will be put to the Local Listing Review Panel for assessment and then if successful, to the New Forest National Park Authority Planning Committee for approval.
If approved, it will be added to the Local List and the relevant county’s Historic Environment Record. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to each nomination individually.
