Shared Forest Toolkit
This toolkit has been designed by teacher, commoner and outdoor learning expert Lyndsey Stride as part of the Common Cause: Shared Forest project.
It was developed for use in schools but can be used by anyone wanting to inspire children to connect with nature and explore the traditions of commoning through fun and creative activities.
All activities have been tried and tested by local school children, using the Forest and their own school grounds for inspiration. Lyndsey has brought her unique perspective and expertise creating an easy to use, well-informed and flexible resource for all ages.
The lottery funded project, commissioned by the Commoners Defence Association (CDA), aims to maintain the unique commoning heritage of the New Forest and develop a programme of learning and discovery that will increase public support and understanding for the commoning way of life.
Download the worksheets for use at home or, if you are a teacher or school, get in touch with the CDA to chat about ways to use the toolkit in school or home learning.
