How long does enforcement take?

How long does enforcement take?

Enforcement can be a lengthy process, which we know can be frustrating if an activity is causing distress.

There are lots of reasons why the process can take a while, including:

  • Gathering satisfactory robust evidence
  • Continuing negotiation to try to resolve the matter with the offender without pursing formal action
  • Consideration of an application seeking to remedy the matter
  • Awaiting determination of an appeal against formal Notices.

Rest assured, we always work as quickly as we can to resolve enforcement cases.
