We are keen to involve people in our work and plans. Through consultation there is the opportunity for everyone who has an interest in the National Park to help plan its future.
Details of our current consultations are listed below. If no consultations are showing we have none being carried out at present.
SUBMISSION DRAFT LYMINGTON & PENNINGTON NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN – REGULATION 16 CONSULTATION
Consultation on the Submission draft Lymington & Pennington Neighbourhood Plan runs from 18 April to 30 May 2025. The draft Neighbourhood Plan consultation is being run jointly by the New Forest National Park Authority and New Forest District Council, as the parish includes land within both planning authority areas. Copies of all of the relevant consultation documents are available for inspection at the National Park Authority’s office at Lymington Town Hall. As the majority of the Lymington & Pennington Neighbourhood Area falls within New Forest District Council’s planning jurisdiction the online consultation material is hosted on their website at:

DRAFT COPYTHORNE PARISH DESIGN STATEMENT CONSULTATION
Wednesday 23 April to Wednesday 4 June 2025
Copythorne Parish Council has prepared a draft Parish Design Statement which sets out local design guidance to help achieve high standards of design in new development in the parish. Please see links below to supporting documents.
The response form can be submitted by post to: Policy Team, New Forest National Park Authority, Lymington Town Hall, Avenue Road, Lymington SO41 9ZG or by email to policy@newforestnpa.gov.uk.
All the representations made during the six-week consultation period will be reviewed before the Copythorne Parish Design Statement is considered at a full National Park Authority meeting for formal adoption – currently timetabled for July 2025.
