Natasha Weyers

Natasha Weyers

Originally from East Anglia, Natasha spent her childhood with fond memories of the ‘Magical Kingdom where the animals roam freely’ on her annual summer holidays in Burley. After her move to Southampton University twenty-two years ago, the love of the New Forest and her passion for wildlife meant she never went back.

Feeling her happiest when surrounded by nature, a hobby of hiking meant she began exploring different areas of countryside and coastline and seeing the different types of wildlife. It was then she realised she wanted to start capturing it all on camera.

Initially using a compact camera and then a bridge camera, Natasha soon realised what great photos could be taken. In autumn 2015 she invested in a Nikon DLSR D7200 camera and Sigma 600mm lens, which has been ideal for photographing wildlife. This is why her favourite times of day are sunrise and sunset for the tranquillity, beautiful light and that chance of seeing more!

In 2016 Natasha started up a photography page on Facebook and had a number of photos shown on BBC South Today and published by Southern Daily Echo and The Hampshire & IOW Wildlife Trust magazine.
