Mark Heighes
Some of Mark’s fondest childhood memories are from adventures in the New Forest.
Photographing the forest and the creatures that live there has been a passion of Mark’s for many years. With his first camera at the age of six Mark took photographs of local landscapes and wildlife. Since then The New Forest has been an irresistible pull – especially during the autumn when colours are at their best.
Mark’s photographs have appeared on BBC Countryfile and he is also a contributing photographer to Hampshire and Dorset Wildlife Trusts and has worked on many projects including seal monitoring, The Wildlife Trust’s 50th Anniversary book, guides and magazines.
Mark’s particular speciality is photographing orchids and he is a very keen amateur wildlife film maker.
