Policy Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and highly motivated professional to join our National Park planning policy team.
With 35,000 residents, 15 million day visits a year, over 600 listed buildings and 20 Conservation Areas, you will be helping deliver our key statutory planning policy functions in one of only 10 National Parks in the country. We will be commencing a review of our adopted local plan shortly and this role also contributes towards the preparation of neighbourhood plans, our minerals and waste planning responsibilities and the delivery of the New Forest National Park Partnership Plan and can expect to respond to a variety of requests for advice and information on planning policy and plan-making matters.
Ideally you will already have some experience of working in a planning policy team, with a good grasp of relevant issues, and have an ability to develop and apply new concepts and ideas in planning policy. The role also involves liaising with a wide range of stakeholders involved in the planning process.
