Planning Enforcement Officer
The New Forest National Park offers a unique and truly outstanding environment in which to work.
Whether you are a planning officer looking for a new challenge, an enforcement officer or someone who has experience in a related investigative field, this position offers an interesting range of cases and an opportunity to contribute towards the preservation of this special area for the future.
Working within a small team you will manage an interesting and varied caseload which will require you to:
- undertake site visits within a beautiful and diverse landscape
- investigate and assess alleged breaches of planning control
- prepare correspondence and maintain accurate records
- negotiate remedial action where necessary
We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills who is self-motivated and well-organised. You will have excellent customer care skills and be confident in dealing with a variety of individuals in an efficient and professional manner. Role details:
- Fixed term contract for 6 months
- Part-time hours considered
- Appointment within the above salary range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
- Requires a valid driving licence
- Based at our offices in Lymington with some home working
