Litter picking

Join us at one of the busiest spots of the New Forest National Park: Bolton's Bench just outside Lyndhurst.

Long believed to be the body of the Bisterne Dragon, we'll spend a couple of hours scouring the area for any errant litter from the high visitor pressure. Please leave any dragon bones where you find them.

We will supply hiz-viz, litter pickers, gloves, bin bags and hand sanitiser. You are more than welcome to bring along your own equipment.

Please wear sturdy footwear suitable for walking outside, bring some water and whatever snack/weather provisions you need.

Weather: In the event of unsafe conditions and any decision to cancel the event, we will inform all participants by email. If you don’t hear from us, please assume the event will continue. If the weather is slightly windy and slightly rainy, we can still continue (with waterproofs!) You are of course welcome to head off early.

Parking: Bolton's Bench is a free Forestry England Car Park.

Public transport: Lyndhurst is served by several bus routes, the closest bus stops are Fire Station (opp.) and Fire Station (adj.) Lyndhurst, Hants – Bus Times

Cycling: Bike Racks are available just outside the car park towards Lyndhurst.

This event is open to all members of the public, under-18's must be accompanied by an adult.
