Favourite thing about the New Forest?
My favourite thing about the Forest is the variety of landscapes and wildlife that live here.
Favourite Location?
My favourite place in the New Forest is the Sea wall and Eyeworth Pond at Fritham. Both locations have a wide diversity of bird species, which makes them ideal for birdwatching or photography.
What do I want to get from being a New Forest Youth Board member?
I hope I will meet like-minded people who value the unique and special place we live in and are passionate about preserving the wildlife and habitats in the Forest.
I would like to develop the confidence to talk to people of all ages and to pass on my knowledge of wildlife and habitats.
What skills do I have that can benefit the Youth Board?
I have lived in the New Forest my whole life and have been lucky enough to own our New Forest Pony. I therefore have an awareness of how special these iconic ponies are, and I am passionate about road safety and awareness in the forest. I am a professional Photographer and a published author of a book on the forest, ‘A Year in the New Forest’, with a foreword by Lord Montague of Beaulieu. I have great knowledge of birds and animals and can identify different species confidently.
