Michael Thierry

Michael Thierry decided to make the New Forest his home, moving to the area from the Channel Islands.

Michael is the proprietor of the Ringwood and Fordingbridge News established over 30 years ago, a newspaper serving the west of the New Forest.

For several years Michael owned a second-hand book shop in Ringwood. Michael is the author of two books, one humorous and the other related to dark days in Channel Islands.

Michael has been a local councillor since the last century. A member of Ringwood Town Council, New Forest District Council, and Hampshire County Council. Michael has also served as the Town Mayor of Ringwood on four occasions.

Michael brings an ‘outsiders’ appreciation of the New Forest.
