Joe Reilly
I have lived in the village of Winsor for over 40 years with my wife, Marian. I have two children and two grandchildren, who live locally.
I was elected to Copythorne Parish Council in 2011 and again in 2015, when I then took the position of Chairman. I resigned from the Parish Council in 2019 when I stood as a candidate to represent Ashurst and Colbury, Copythorne South and Netley Marsh on the New Forest District Council. During my first term as a District Councillor, I served as a member of the Planning Committee and the licensing committee.
Following the reorganisation of the boundaries in 2023, I was re-elected as a District Councillor representing Ashurst, Bramshaw, Copythorne and Netley Marsh. I am currently on the committees for Planning, HR, and Appeals. I am also on the Appeals Panel.
Whilst I was Chairman of Copythorne Parish Council, I was instrumental in the planning and overseeing of the long awaited children’s playground at the Copythorne Parish Hall.
I am an active member of the Copythorne Parish Pickers Group meeting every Sunday to litter pick. I also volunteer at Lymington Hospital.
