David Harrison
David was born in the Fenwick Hospital, Lyndhurst, in 1956.
He is a life-long Totton resident, married with two grown-up children. David spent 25 years in the insurance industry, qualifying as a Chartered Insurer and working in a variety of roles including project management, accident investigation and managing a busy claims office. He currently works as an Occupation Therapy Technician at an NHS hospital.
David has considerable experience in local government, including over 20 years as a parish / town councillor, a New Forest District Councillor and has served as Hampshire County Councillor for Totton South and Marchwood since 2004. He is also a member of Hampshire Fire Authority and a Governor Member for Eling First School, Totton.
He lists his interests as ‘all things connected with the New Forest’.
He is a keen rambler, bird watcher (RSPB member), motorcyclist and he thinks, the only member of the NPA who has completed the New Forest Marathon!
