How to survey a hedgerow

Training is being held for members of the local community to enable them to survey their local hedgerows.
Would you like learn more about hedgerow species and how to survey them in your local areas?
The Community Wildlife Plans Project in partnership with Godshill Parish Council and Sandy Balls Holiday Centre are running this workshop to train members of the local community to have the skills to survey their local hedgerows.
We hope to have members of the community involved recording hedgerows. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and terrain and bring your lunch.

New Forest Open Art Competition submission period

To celebrate this unique place the New Forest National Park Authority has teamed up with the New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst to launch a joint open art competition.
If you are a budding artist, photographer or craftsperson who takes inspiration from the New Forest, we would like to hear from you.
The competition is sponsored by ExxonMobil at the Fawley Refinery and local magazine Park Culture.
Prizes from ExxonMobil at the Fawley Refinery:
- First prize - £500
- Second prize - £300
- Third prize - £100
People’s Prize - £100 and a feature in Park Culture magazine.
