The Compassionate Canine offers kind, effective and affordable dog training across the New Forest and Bournemouth. I’m Maria, a fully insured, qualified trainer and behaviour specialist. I hold accreditations with the University of Liverpool, the dog training college and the IMDT among others. My approach is ethical, informed and personalised to you and your dog without the price tag, to take the guess work out of dog training.

Through private 1-2-1 sessions, I help with everything from reactivity and fear to recall, lead walking and settling at home. Puppy sessions focus on confident socialisation and building calm, lifelong skills from day one.

Busy schedule? I can help with that too! While you’re at work, I’ll put the training into practice in real-world environments, so your dog’s progress carries over into everyday life. This takes pressure off of you while ensuring that you met your training goals.

Calm dogs. Reliable skills. Confident owners.
