Connect with nature, enjoying time outside with your team

Feel the energy and a sense of achievement, restoring and enhancing the National Park's landscapes, wildlife, and communities with the New Forest NPA

Volunteering in the New Forest with the National Park Authority contributes to meaningful landscape improvements spending time outside in nature, boosting mental and physical wellbeing, building relationships, team spirit, and offering a fun day out of the office environment.

The New Forest NPA runs full- and half-day volunteer sessions for corporate groups and businesses throughout the year from vegetation and invasive species management to access improvements on paths and a range of other tasks. Specific activities for the day may vary and will be dependent on the season and the NPA’s active priorities.

What to expect on the day:

National Park Authority staff will welcome you and your team on arrival, provide an introduction to the site, and support with supervision during the task. All training, tools, and equipment are provided. NPA staff are first aid trained and will have first aid kits, but you remain legally responsible for your employees during the task and may wish to create a risk assessment and put safety measures in place.

Teams should wear sturdy footwear, dress suitably for outdoor environments and the forecast weather (e.g. bring waterproofs if the forecast is wet), and are advised to wear older/scruffy clothes that can get dirty.

Every day is flexible and tailored to your team’s needs to make your experience as accessible for your staff as possible. There is a currently a high demand for corporate volunteering experiences.

To cover costs, we ask that you combine your visit with a financial contribution of between £300 to £500. We’ll spend this on tool replacement and maintenance, buying personal protective equipment, and staffing costs.
