Recreation management strategy
The Recreation Management Strategy (RMS) sets out the strategic direction for the management of outdoor recreation in the New Forest National Park from 2010 – 2030.
The strategy seeks to guide and influence recreation and spatial planning policy and implementation across the whole of the National Park and adjoining areas.
It was drawn up in parallel with the first National Park Management Plan for the New Forest and is currently being reviewed.
Work to manage recreation in partnership with other organisations is ongoing. This includes both issue-specific activities and wider strategic work.
