Our response to Government’s National Parks review
PUBLISHED ON: 19 DECEMBER 2018We have submitted our response to the Government’s Designated Landscapes Review which will decide what the future of England’s cherished designated landscapes will look like.
In October, Environment Secretary Michael Gove and writer Julian Glover invited the public to respond to a Call for Evidence, which forms part of the Designated Landscapes Review, overseen by a panel chaired by Mr Glover.
The review looks at whether England’s 10 National Parks and 34 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) meet the nation’s needs. It will also consider whether there is scope for the current network to expand.
The designated landscapes review will report back next year with recommendations.
