The Nightjar Project – film screenings

Visit  SPUD in Sway to view documentary films of the New Forest shot by James Elliott as part of the Nightjar Project. The films will be shown every Saturday in March between 10am – 2pm, in the Living Room space on a 9mx3m screen.

There will be two films on shown, Adey (fire) about gorse burning and Intsu (water) about river restoration.

From the filmmaker James Elliott:

Prior to beginning this project, I perceived The New Forest National Park in Hampshire to be an ancient wilderness, unchanged for a thousand years. As a part of the Nightjar project (a collaboration between African Activities and SPUD) I had the privilege to work with some of the dedicated teams of forest workers and scientists who work tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain this magnificent haven on the south coast of England.

Adey (fire) and Intsu (water) respectively explore projects involving the management of the forest, preserving it for future generations of visitors from all over the world (including the Nightjar).
