Getting to know fungi

This walk will teach you how to examine and learn the basics about fungal identification, so a x10 or greater magnification hand lens (magnifier) is advised. You will also learn about their ecology and the vital role that they play in nature.

The walking distance is not very far as there is much stopping, examining and sniffing of the fungal fruiting bodies (mushrooms).

These walks are open to anyone who has an interest in fungi but are not foraging walks.

This walk starts at Millyford Bridge car park and which will be examined first before heading north up the track and into the inclosure, trending the same way.
