For many in the LGBTQ+ community, the journey begins with a brave departure – leaving the familiar to find a place where you truly belong. But you don’t have to walk that path alone. Join Forestry England this Pride Month whilst combining the healing power of the great outdoors with the strength of an inclusive community.

Is this walk for me?

The walk will cover approximately four miles and take between two and three hours, moving at a leisurely pace with frequent stops. The meeting point will be at Deerleap car park in the New Forest at 9:30am setting off at 10:00am.

The terrain will primarily be gravel tracks with some elevation, traversing through beautiful landscapes of heathland and woodland. Feel free to bring binoculars to get a closer look at the beautiful birds and trees.

  • Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
  • We recommend bringing water, snacks and suncream!
  • We will be walking around a ground-nesting bird site so unfortunately we can’t allow dogs on this walk.
  • Distance covered 3.77 miles
  • Suitable for all ages.
