Lepe Loop Ranger-led Walk
Discover the many stories of the Lepe Loop on this ranger-led walk through coast, countryside and woodland. Enjoy beautiful views across the Solent while learning more about the wildlife, history and landscapes that make this part of the New Forest so special.
Join the Lepe Country Park Rangers for a guided walk around the Lepe Loop, starting and finishing at Lepe Country Park. Along the way, we’ll explore coastal, woodland and farmland habitats, look out for local wildlife and discover some of the area’s fascinating history, including Lepe’s important role in preparations for D-Day.
Duration: The walk is approximately 5 miles (8 km) – allow two hours.
Difficulty: Follows a mixture of field, woodland and coastal paths, with gates and stiles along the route. Woodland paths can also become very muddy.
Accessibility: Due to the nature of the terrain, including uneven and potentially muddy paths and stiles, this walk is not suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters or those who may find uneven ground and stiles difficult to navigate. If you have any questions about whether the walk is suitable for you, please get in touch before booking.
Good to know: Good, sturdy footwear is essential, and please dress appropriately for the weather.
Cost: The walk is free, but parking charges apply at Lepe.
Booking: No need to book, just turn up at the Visitor Services Desk.
