New Forest Venison Ltd

New Forest Venison Ltd launched in 2025 to help tackle the problem of excessive deer in the Forest, whilst providing a sustainable and healthy food source directly to the local community. They are members of the New Forest Marque accredited local produce scheme.

Owner Dan Parsons successfully received the Rural England Prosperity Fund grant, enabling him to purchase a large commercial Polar Fridge in which to store his freshly butchered venison. With no natural predators the extensive grazing by deer damages and kills trees and rare plants, thereby decreasing the biodiversity of the New Forest. Their numbers have to be controlled, so New Forest Venison offers local delivery of fresh wild venison.
