Transition Lymington

Transition Lymington is a smaller project group, but very active in reducing waste, growing local, supporting nature and sustainable transport ideas.

We run lots of projects:

(Each has its own logo!)

Lymington Repair Cafes – Facebook: Lymington Repair Cafe | Facebook

Sowing Seeds project – 6 seed swap tables across Lym and Penn, lots of sowing and planting and swapping! Facebook: Sowing Seeds in Lymington & Pennington | Facebook

Wilder Lymington – supporting nature and increasing biodiversity, including working with 20 local schools and 7 local churches, have run events with lots of local insect, plant, hedgehog, bat, bird groups etc. Facebook: Wilder Lymington | Facebook

We have a Cycling group, members of which sit on the NPA’s CWG, we have come up with a group of safer cycling, lower traffic, on-road routes and created a ‘tube map’ of the southern towns and village in the forest. We also do lots of work with other local cycling groups and green groups.

Call to action – do one thing!

We meet monthly in a pub, or on a local walk.

We collect a whole heap of recycling in addition to NFDC clear sacks – to support local charities and ourselves.
