Applications for tree work and information about protected trees.

Tree work applications

To prune or fell TPO or conservation area protected trees in the National Park you must seek consent from us. For more significant applications, we'll supply you with a site notice to display on your land and we will also notify neighbouring properties. Where a neighbour submits an application, we will endeavour to ensure the owner or occupier of the land on which the tree stands is informed and given a chance to comment. We no longer manage protected trees or development management matters for New Forest District Council. All tree-related matters outside the New Forest National Park boundary should be directed to New Forest District Council’s Tree Team:
