£ 21,028 - £36,123 per annum (career grade)

Lymington and the New Forest

Contract Type:

Permanent, full-time (part-time considered)

Closing Date:

21 JULY 2021

Planning Officer

We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated planning professional to join our development management team where you can expect to deal with a wide range of planning applications, appeals and related enquiries, supported by an up-to-date Local Plan.

The New Forest National Park has an outstanding and diverse environment. Scattered settlements, villages and vibrant towns sit in an area of internationally renowned landscape with its unique blend of woodland, lowland heath and coastline. The area has a fantastically rich built heritage including 17 Conservation Areas and some 650 Listed Buildings.

Ideally you will already have some experience of working as a development management planning officer with excellent communication and negotiation skills. If so, and you have a degree (or equivalent) in planning and membership of, or are currently working towards full membership of, the Royal Town Planning Institute, then we would love to hear from you.

This is a career graded post and appointment within the above salary range will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Chartered town planners with relevant experience can expect to be appointed towards the top of the scale. The role requires a valid driving licence and is based at our offices in Lymington but home-based working is also supported, especially during the current Covid restrictions.

To apply, please refer to the documents on the right and complete an application form. CVs are not accepted.

Closing date:       11am on 21 July 2021

Interviews:           27 July 2021

For any queries please email or call 01590 646637 during normal office hours.
