Education Assistant (Kickstart)
The New Forest National Park Authority is proud to be taking part in the new government-funded Kickstart Scheme. The scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24 year olds who are on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.
You are only eligible to apply for a Kickstart role if:
- You are aged 16 to 24 years old
- You are claiming Universal Credit
- You have been allocated a Work Coach with Jobcentre Plus

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our education and youth team in the planning and delivery of quality education in and about the New Forest National Park to young people of all ages and abilities. You will want to work with young people and nature in both indoor and outdoor settings and have an organised and resourceful approach with excellent communication skills.
You will enjoy acquiring new skills and knowledge and you can work equally well independently and as part of a team. Your experiences of activities with children and/or young people and understanding their needs will enable you to confidently communicate and support them as they learn about and discover our wildlife, heritage and landscape.
Above all, you are able to enthuse and inspire learners of all ages with your love of the New Forest National Park.
This placement is for six months (from May) and will work 25 hours per week. It requires a valid driving licence and is subject to DBS clearance.
