Come and join the National Park Explorer!
The National Park Explorer is our mobile information unit which can be found in and around the New Forest helping people get the most out of their National Park. The Explorer can be seen at busy visitor sites, local fairs and events. It’s jammed full of interesting things about the National Park, including the ‘Woodland Trunk’ containing deer antlers, cones and activities, and the ‘Treasure Chest’ which contains the secrets of the New Forest coast.
Mobile unit ranger Andy Brennan will be taking the unit out across the Forest to help you enjoy the National Park to the full. The distinctive Explorer is covered with pictures of the Forest, so is easily recognisable when it is out in the Forest. The Explorer is a converted Axiam Megavan which has a small 600cc engine and does a very fuel-efficient 80 miles to the gallon.
