Come and join the National Park Explorer!

The National Park Explorer is our mobile information unit. With knowledgeable staff, displays, leaflets and information the unit is on hand to answer any questions people may have on the National Park and help them understand more fully what a special place the New Forest is!

The National Park Explorer tours the Forest attending shows, events, visitor attractions and many of the car parks. The unit carries the ‘Woodland Trunk’ and ‘Treasure Chest’ which are jammed full of interesting artefacts including antlers, roman pottery, shells, fossils to name a few, all of which can be found around the New Forest. Forestry Commission staff often join the unit when on the Crown Lands of the National Park.

Ranger Andy Brennan manages the National Park Explorer. We are always looking for new events/opportunities to further the work of the unit.  If you are holding an event or think you may have a use for the unit please contact Andy
