Issues and Options Stage

The Issues and Options stage is a continuous process of informal discussion and consultation with a range of people and organisations. A number of Discussion Papers have been produced, as set out below:

• Sites Discussion Paper (September 2006)
  This paper set out a long list of potential minerals and waste sites subject to initial site evaluation.
• Sites Discussion Paper (Addendum) (May 2007)
  This includes additional sites nominated by landowners and operators since the publication of the Sites Discussion Paper in September 2006. A number of sites have also been withdrawn
• Employment Land and Industrial Estates
  This paper was prepared by consultants to review into the potential future role of employment land and industrial site in meeting the need for minerals and waste facilities.
