Local Development Framework

Proposals Map for Core Strategy and Development Management Policies DPD

The Proposals Map has been produced for the whole of the National Park area. This replaces the three Proposals Maps that cover the area within the National Park contained in the New Forest District Local Plan First Alteration (2005), the Salisbury District Local Plan (2003) and the Test Valley Borough Local Plan (2006). It contains details of nature conservation designations, the boundary of the defined villages and the defined shopping frontages (which remain the same as in the New Forest District Local Plan), and the boundaries of the existing Conservation Areas. One of the key advantages of producing a Proposals Map for the National Park is that it will no longer be necessary to use the three separate Proposals Maps for the three existing Local plans that cover areas within the National Park.

You can view a copy of the new Proposals Map for the National Park below (to avoid the file being too large, this has been split into sections covering New Forest West and East, and four separate villages, and please note these are not to scale)
