Pre Hearing Meeting
The Programme Officer wrote to all those who made representations to the Pre Submission Draft DPD with regard to a Pre Hearing Meeting (PHM) held within the Forest Room of the Forest Lodge Hotel, Pikes Hill, Lyndhurst, Hampshire, SO43 7AS on Wednesday 14 July 2010.
The purpose of the PHM was to discuss procedural arrangements for the Examination and was an opportunity to ask any questions regarding the process.
The merits of individual representations or questions of soundness were not explored at the PHM. Matters which related to the soundness of the DPD, and which the Inspector wished to raise with the Authority and those who indicated that they wished to speak, were dealt with at the subsequent Hearing Sessions. Attendance at the PHM was not compulsory, a full minute was available shortly afterwards and if persons were unable to attend it did not prejudice their future involvement in the Examination. Any questions regarding the scope of the PHM were addressed to the Programme Officer, Mr Kemp, who answered any queries.

He acted independently on behalf of the Inspector to organise and manage the administrative and procedural matters of the examination process and was the first point of contact for any questions relating to timetabling or procedural matters. All statements were submitted through him.
Any matters that anyone wished to raise with the Inspector were submitted via the Programme Officer.
