Village Design Statements
Guide to producing Village Design Statements
The New Forest National Park Authority have produced a simple six step guide to help Parish Councils and community groups produce a village design statement (VDS).
Village Design Statements are a way for local communities to propose guidelines for the design of any new development in their area. They can be adopted by the local planning authority as Supplementary Planning Documents that complement and add detail to existing planning policies.
