Enjoy a bird’s-eye view from your computer

If you would rather be outside enjoying the New Forest than at your desk, we now have the next best thing.

The New Forest National Park Authority working in partnership with the Buckler’s Hard Visitor Attraction has launched a second webcam in the New Forest National Park, looking over the calm, idyllic waters of Buckler’s Hard.

The state-of-the-art webcam pans over the Beaulieu River, taking in the marina, its still waters, wooded areas, salt marshes and coastal birds.

Martin O’Neill, Director of Information and Visitor Services, said: ‘The webcams have proved to be extremely popular. They offer people the chance to explore the National Park from their computer, getting a flavour of its special landscape, wildlife and culture.’

Mike Lucas, Manager of the Buckler’s Hard Visitor Attraction, said: ‘The views over the Beaulieu River are some of the most beautiful in the New Forest, giving an insight into this historic river where ships for Nelson’s Trafalgar fleet were built.’
