The 10th annual award scheme specifically for businesses in the New Forest district aims to celebrate the achievements of business in the area and highlight good practice.

The New Forest Business of the year will be selected from the winners of seven individual categories. These will include recognition of successful companies which show high levels of achievement within their core business and in a number of specialist areas including investment in the workforce, enterprise and innovation, entrepreneurship, development of technologies and green policies.

The Awards will be presented at the Annual Presentation Evening on Thursday 26 November at Careys Manor Brockenhurst. Tickets for this prestigious event will be available soon.

All entries should be made by 12 noon on 16 October.

Individuals can also nominate a company in any of the categories listed below.

The Award Categories are:

The New Forest National Park Authority Sustainable Business Award
For businesses making an outstanding effort in reducing their environmental footprint. The winner will demonstrate that through environmental management, local purchasing, smarter working and promotion of green policies their business has improved sustainability; environmentally, socially and economically.

The RBS Award for Contribution to the New Forest Community
To be awarded to a business which recognises the importance of a real commitment to the local New Forest community and can demonstrate tangible impact and clear results in Corporate Social Responsibility and/or community impact.

The New Forest District Council Award for Outstanding Customer Care
For businesses who recognise the importance of the customer in developing their business. Successful entrants will demonstrate how analysis and response to ‘customers needs’ have assisted in developing a growing business.

The ExxonMobil Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
For leading the way in product and concept development. This award will highlight companies who have used these ideas to benefit workforce and customers alike.

The New Forest Enterprise Centre Award for the Best New Business
For either innovation in terms of a new business idea or demonstration of exceptional skills in the establishment and development of a business started within the previous 2 years.

The Brockenhurst College Award for Training and Development
For businesses offering outstanding career opportunities to their employees including training opportunities, career development and mentoring within the existing workforce. The winner will show how this investment has allowed the company to enhance their performance.

The Hampshire County Council Award for Young Person in Business
For an individual aged under 30 years who has made a significant contribution to business in the position of owner, employee or trainee/apprentice. The winner will demonstrate how they have brought creative ideas and progress to the business through their continued learning and development within the role.

The Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Brand New Forest Campaign
This award is not open to application and will be made at the discretion of the Brand New Forest Steering Group. It will be made to the business which has put significant time and energy into the furthering the aims and objectives of the overall campaign.
The winner of this award will be selected by the Brand New Forest Steering Group

Brilliance in Business Awards Nominations
Nominations can be made by an individual in any of the above categories. You will be asked to provide a short statement of the reasons for your nomination.

NFBP Business of the Year Award

The overall winner will be selected from the winners in each of the seven categories.
