The New Forest National Park Authority is looking to appoint members to its Sustainable Development Fund Panel.

The New Forest National Park Authority is looking to appoint members to its Sustainable Development Fund Panel, to help manage a grant fund which has so far allocated almost £400,000 to sustainable projects throughout the New Forest.

The Sustainable Development Fund has already supported more than 40 projects that have benefited the environmental, economic and community well-being of the Forest.

The Authority is looking for a total of seven people to join the Panel who have knowledge and expertise in one of the following areas:  conservation and wildlife, environmental and sustainability issues, local business and economy, sustainable tourism, agriculture and commoning and wider community interests.

Members will be expected to attend one panel meeting every two months to meet Fund applicants and appraise their project applications. The meetings usually last about two to three hours and the Authority will pay travel, child or other care expenses where appropriate.
